A legal disclaimer

  • Equine massage/bodywork is not a substitute for veterinary care.
     

  • If a horse has a diagnosed injury, illness, or lameness, owner must consult their veterinarian prior to scheduling bodywork.
     

  • Practitioner will not diagnose, prescribe, or treat medical conditions

Terms & Conditions 

1. Scheduling & Booking
 

Owners must provide a safe, quiet environment for the session (horse clean, dry, and haltered).

2. Cancellation & No-Show

  • Cancellations made 48+ hours in advance: no charge.
     

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours: 50% fee.
     

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours or no-show: 75–100% fee.
     

  • If the practitioner arrives and the horse is unavailable (not caught, not present, unsafe), the session is considered a no-show.

3. Payment

  • Payment is due at the time of service (or upon invoice if using Square/QuickBooks).
     

  • Accepted forms: cash, card, Square, QuickBooks, Venmo, etc.
     

Returned checks or failed payments will incur a fee (e.g., $25).

4. Travel Fees

  • A travel fee of $1.00 per mile round trip will be applied.
     

5. Safety & Horse Handling

  • If a horse’s behavior puts the practitioner at risk (kicking, biting, excessive rearing), the session will be stopped, but the full fee is still due.
     

  • Horses must be handled by an owner/representative during the session if needed.
     

Sessions cannot be performed on horses that are sedated,or visibly ill.

6. Aftercare

  • Owners are advised not to ride/perform strenuous activity for 24–48 hours post-session.
     

Practitioner may provide stretching or follow-up recommendations, but it is the owner’s responsibility to implement them.

Confidentiality & Professionalism

  • Session notes and observations will be kept confidential between practitioner and client, unless sharing with a veterinarian or other professional (with owner’s consent).
     

Respectful conduct is expected at all times from both practitioner and client.
